Yesterday, while watching one of my favorite action films, Ong-Bak (2003), I noticed something I hadn’t seen before. There are two hidden messages to other filmmakers written on the walls, graffiti style.
The first is to Steven Speilberg [sic]:
I assume they intended Steven Spielberg. I don’t know if his people got with their people as a result, but there are worse ways of trying to get someone’s attention.
The second is to Luc Besson:
Benson bought the worldwide rights to the film and re-edited it. You can read about the changes here.
Like the foreshadowing in Back to the Future, I’m sure this is well known. It was new to me though I’ve watched the movie many times. For those like myself who missed it, there you go. You’re welcome.
