Back to the Future Easter Egg

Great Scott

Because of the thirtieth anniversary I watched Back to the Future (1985) the other day. I was surprised by a bit of foreshadowing I’d never noticed before. The picture above is from the opening shot, which pans across all the different clocks in Doc Brown’s lab. One of the clocks (pictured on the right) has a guy hanging from the clock, holding on to the minutes arm, much the way Doc Brown does later in the film.

I’m sure it’s well documented, and I’ll readily admit I’m slow on the uptake, but I thought I’d share incase there are others who never noticed. Regardless, it’s great to be able to go back after all these years and still find something new.
